RLM Drafting & Design was started in 1978 in Houston, Texas. We began the company in response to winning a contract with a major oil and natural gas company in Houston. In 1980, we were commissioned to organize a multi-disciplined design department in the headquarters of the same oil and gas company. A few years later, we organized several other district design offices in the central section of the U.S.

In 1988, our principle was commissioned to organize and operate a manufacturing design department, developing and building oil to water separators, which were sold to offshore drilling companies. All of the design services included, but were not limited to, industrial architecture. Along with the oil and gas design projects, we had a separate company that designed and drafted residential and commercial building projects, both single family and multi-family in the Houston area.

In 1999, we relocated to the Austin area and concentrated on the residential design aspect of our business and have accomplished many residential/commercial/remodeling projects to this date.
